Project: Conceptual Short Course Practice Area Development 

Client: Miskanaw Golf Club

In the Fall of 2020, Ohnysty Crough Golf Design explored conceptual development options for the development of a short game practice facility at the Miskanaw Golf Club.  Utilizing approximately 4.5 acres of unused land adjacent to the Clubs driving range, our design team prepared conceptual plans for a large expansive practice area that attempts to recreate the shots and conditions found throughout the golf course; caters to juniors and beginner golfers; holds the interest and test the abilities of better golfers; is easily maintainable; accommodates golfer safety; and provides unlimited course layout options for short course play.  The result is a 5-hole reversible loop short course and flexible practice area loosely branded as the Cubs Course at Miskanaw Golf Club that can be configured with unlimited options for practice and short course play.
